3rd international forum 'Arctic: Present and Future' 3rd international forum 'Arctic: Present and Future'

The 3rd International Forum 'Arctic: Present and Future' was open on December 5, 2013 in the hotel “Crowne Plaza”, Saint-Petersburg.

The Forum, organized with the support of Saint-Petersburg municipal government will last for two days. The Forum gathered about 500 participants from Russia and more than 20 other countries with interest to the Arctic area. Among the forum participants are the leading governmental and private-sector companies, representatives of public organizations and scientists. The agenda of the Forum contains a range of Arctic-related issues including transport infrastructure, use of natural resources and security. The common goal is to draft a resolution for further safe and continuous development of the Arctic region over the next few decades.
